There is No Music Like Caribbean MusicThe Caribbean has always been blessed with many various types of music
genres. Most Caribbean music include some kind of African, European, or
Indian influence, making use of the many common musical instruments
like drums and percussion instruments. Some types of Caribbean music
like Reggae, Soca, Calypso, Salsa, Reggaeton and zouk have gained lots
of exposure and popularity outside of the Caribbean and throughout the
world.
Recently the Caribbean have been producing high quality musical artists
for the established and most common genres such as Rap, Hip Hop, Rock
and Pop. Many Caribbean Music artists have received awards for their
achievements, Beenie Man and Shaggy from Jamaica have received Grammys
as well as Rihanna from Barbados.
Below is a table which shows what Caribbean island plays what type of
music. Most Islands have their own unique music genre, for example
Trinidad has Soca, Barbados has Calypso, and Jamaica has Reggae. Make
